Dancers to Compete in Youth America Grand Prix

We are all very excited because two of our Dance Company members will be competing in the prestigious Youth America Grand Prix. This week they were trying on tutus to decide what to wear for the competition. The tutus are courtesy of our ballet teacher Valeria Ivleva.
Company Dancers Participate with Lula Washington Dance Theater

Our New Hope Youth Dance Company members had the opportunity this week to participate in a Master Dance Class with the Lula Washington Dance Theater at the Publick Playhouse in Cheverly, Maryland.
When asked about her experience, Grace , aged eight, explained:
We did stretches on the stage and then we learned a dance, which was like a jazz dance. The most fun thing was the spinning….we spun round and round……..
